Molly has called Cheerios "co-c0"s ever since she could talk. One day when Molly was a baby Nick stuck a cheerio on her nose and she kept it on there for what seemed like forever. So, recently Nick thought we'd let Graham enjoy the same "Co-Co" experience.

Nick was able to introduce Molly to two "big-girl" things this week...

1. Her first late night Gibson Donut.

2. Her first encounter with a Nintendo 64.

I am fully aware that every mother thinks her children are the most precious...but seriously, I can't imagine any two more adorable kids.

Happy 1/2 Birthday

It is hard to believe we are halfway to Graham's first birthday. Time sure flies by quicker with the second child.

We visited Dr. Fesmire today at Peds East, and Graham was a trooper. He cried all of 2 seconds, and wasn't fussy during the day until right before bedtime. Oh, a drama-free boy is such a nice addition to the Pearson family!

HEIGHT AND WEIGHT

19 pounds, 27 inches long. He is surprisingly only in the 75% for height and weight.

SLEEPING

Nights- he is amazing. He goes down between 6:30 and 7:00 and sleeps 12 hours consistently. We haven't heard a peep during the night in about 2 months.

However, he is a terrible napper. I'm lucky to get 2 45 minute naps in his bed, and a little catnap or 2 in his swing during the day. And, all daytime naps are preceded by some serious fussing! Oh well, as long as I get my sleep during the night, I'm fine. Plus, the little guy is so content to swing in his swing and watch his Praise Baby DVD in order to let me get things done when Molly sleeps.

EATING

Still taking formula every 3-4 hours during the day. He is only eating baby food in the evenings, and he hates cereal. I have been hesitant to introduce many new foods due to all of the allergies we dealt with during Molly's first 2 years. Graham has already had his first fairly significant break-out when we gave him cereal with mixed fruits. Oh well, food allergies are to be expected with our kids. We'll just have to figure him out over the next year or so.

PLAYING

Graham's favorite thing is for Molly to talk to him or play patty-cake with him. She simply has to walk near him and he lights up. He loves his brown monkey lovie, and likes his new Johnny jump-up. He enjoys his exersaucer for a little while each day, but still enjoys his swing and a Praise Baby DVD the best. He's not going to be an early mover. He rolls, but that is about it.

Gulf Shores- we more than survived!

Part of us thought we were CRAZY to attempt a beach trip with a not-quite 2 year old and a 4 month old with no grandparent help. Molly had a miserable time last year at the beach, and the girl can't ride to church without asking 10 times to get "OUT!". So, an 8 hour car ride seemed a bit far-fetched. However, we booked a great condo online, got in the car, hooked up a portable DVD player, and headed to Gulf Shores anyway. And we are sure glad we did. The only bad part was thinking 4 days was long enough!

Here are some pictures from our AMAZING vacation as a family of four. We will definitely be making this a yearly tradition.

Great way to wake up each morning!

The very early mornings were some of my favorite times. I would head outside with Graham, a cup of coffee, and a good book. He'd usually drift off for a morning nap.

When he'd wake up, sometime he'd enjoy some snuggle time.

Molly LOVED eating her meals out on the balcony. She was always so messy when she was finished.

Graham wasn't impressed at all with the beach. He hung out for the most part, and took a few little naps, but was a bit eager to get back inside.

It took some definite coercing to get Molly to go near the water. The sand was a bit much for her. She learned to enjoy it by the end of the trip though.

We had a little photo shoot before dinner the last night. I love these little outfits I bought the kids. I thought they looked so cute in them!

Canale Farms- a Kid's Dream

Memorial Day Weekend was kicked off with our church-wide picnic at Canale Farms on Saturday. What a neat place to spend the day! We were a bit nervous since it was right during naptime, but we had a fabulous time doing many fun things with our friends...

• Pony Rides (which Molly was way too freaked out about once we got up close)

• Playgrounds
• unlimited snowcones, and more...

Oh Bubbles!

I have a love/hate relationship with bubbles. I love them because of the huge amount of pleasure they bring Molly, but hate them for the tantrums they produce when it is time to put them away!

Cousin Love

My mom has told me time and time again that I just don't understand the deep relationships cousins can have because I never had first cousins that were my age and who I played with regularly. I never felt like I really missed out on anything, and quite honestly never really gave it much thought. I'm beginning to understand what she was talking about as I'm now having the joy of watching Molly grow to love her cousins. To say Molly loves her cousin Owen is a huge understatement! Every time she sees him, her eyes light up and a huge smile is on her face. Her "Owie", as she calls him, is definitely her best friend!

I feel like I'm just in survival mode this last week before Graham is born. Mom, April, and Owen helped me pass the day today by going with us to the mall to play and then to The Village to have lunch with Nonny. It was a fun morning for sure!
