Canale Farms- a Kid's Dream

Memorial Day Weekend was kicked off with our church-wide picnic at Canale Farms on Saturday. What a neat place to spend the day! We were a bit nervous since it was right during naptime, but we had a fabulous time doing many fun things with our friends...

  • Great BBQ
  • Boat Rides
  • Pony Rides (which Molly was way too freaked out about once we got up close)
  • Inflatable slides and jump houses
  • Basketball games
  • Wagon rides
  • Playgrounds
  • unlimited snowcones, and more...

Old Friends

There's something so sweet about getting together with friends who you've known for years. I feel so blessed to still be such close friends with several girls who were my best friends in elementary school. Our moms have also remained very close, and it's been so fun to watch our families be blessed with the next generation of children. Today we were able to have lunch at the Ellis' house for a little reunion and a chance to meet the two newest additions while Meredith was in town. Little Ella Griffin Edwards and Ellis Grimm are two of the cutest little girls I've seen.

Friendship

Nick and I talk so often about the wonderful friendships God has blessed us with. We are so grateful for the families that the Lord has brought into our lives over the last few years through our Sunday School class at Kirby Woods. We have developed such special relationships, and it is now such a joy to watch little Molly begin to grow her own relationships with their children.

Molly and I invited our friends over for a playdate and lunch today since everyone was off school and work for the MLK holiday. The kids had a great time, and the Moms enjoyed some much needed girl time.

It's hard to believe that by the middle of Summer there will be four new little siblings to join the group. Out of 7 moms today, 4 are pregnant!

Xander and Molly are just a month a part. I think they are going to be big buddies before long!
Molly was thrilled to get to eat her favorite food- pizza! (and goldfish, and fruit snacks, too)

The big girls wanted to watch a Mickey Mouse DVD (they really wanted to watch Toy Story, but we didn't have that one)
